On the afternoon of April30, 2024,the opening ceremony of China-Guyana Specialist (Jiangsu) training programwas held in Nanjing Drum Tower Hospital. BAO Jun, Deputy Chairman of Jiangsu Commission of Health, XIA Haiming, Secretary of the Party Committee of Nanjing Drum Tower Hospital, YU Chenggong, president of the hospital, Zhang Bing, vice president of the hospital, directors and tutors of clinical departments and administrative departments, and the members of 18th China (Jiangsu) Medical Team to Guyanaattended the opening ceremony.
Mr. Xia welcomed 5 doctors from Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation to our hospital for training and exchange. Mr. Bao introduced the foreign medical aid history between Jiangsu province and Guyana. He expressed heartfelt thanks to Nanjing Drum Tower Hospital for its efforts in successfully holding this program. The representative of doctors from Guyana said depending on the support from both governments, they all felt honored to participate in this program.
We need to take this program as an opportunity to jointly promote the in-depth development of China-Guyana health cooperation and make contributions to the well-being of the two peoples.
