The 2nd Global Vision Week of Nanjing Drum Tower Hospital was held successfully

In order to implement the goal of high-quality development of Nanjing Drum Tower hospital and to build an innovative, modern and humanistic hospital with international influence and domestic top ranking, the second Global Vision Week was held from October 31 to November 4, 2022. The event was organized by the International Exchanges and Cooperation Department of the hospital, with the theme of "Global Integration, Dialogue with World-class Hospitals", and the concept of "Exchange, Cooperation, Development and Innovation". The combination of online and on-site form of activities was applied in aim to dialogue and exchange with internationally renowned experts and scholars, further broaden international horizons.


The one week Global Vision Week was full of influential academician, with a total of 43 top experts from the United States, Israel, Singapore, Spain and other countries, while Drum Tower experts in related fields were invited to ‘’e-meet‘’ online altogether. During this period, special exchange activities were held for Sheba Medical Center in Israel, Singapore Agency for Science, Technology and Research and National University Hospital of Singapore.

 

In addition, clinical departments actively participated in this event, and special exchange forums were organized in Oncology Center, Department of Cardiovascular, Urology, Radiology, Anesthesiology, and Ultrasound Diagnosis. The event attracted many clinicians, research backbones, clinical teaching teachers, residents, postgraduates and nursing staffs. They listened carefully and interacted with experts with proficient English, which demonstrated our active and positive international image. This event helped further deepening international academic exchanges and enhancing our discipline's visibility and academic influence.

 

On the closing ceremony, the event e-connected with members of the Medical Aid Team in Guyana and Mr. Robbie Rambarran, Deputy Executive Office of the Georgetown Public Hospital in Guyana, who congratulated on the success of the Global Vision Week and hoped to participate in next Global Vision Week.


The Global Vision Week is a window for dialogue and exchange between our hospital and top international medical institutions and academic platforms, and is also a way to actively explore new paths, new models and new methods of medical development. In the future, our hospital will continue to deepen this event of international exchange and cooperation, enhance the international influence of the hospital and promote the high quality development of the hospital.
